Email Set Up

You can set up your email in 2 ways:

1. By forwarding all your mail to another email address, such as you@aol.com or you@earthlink.net.

How it works: All mail that goes to your domain (anyname@yourdomain.com) will be forwarded to the email address you give me. When you retrieve your email, you'll also get your domain email.

Important notice about your "from" (or return or reply-to) email address: You can control this. I have nothing to do with this. On any normal ISP account (don't know about AOL), you can put any email address you want in your account setup, i.e., your domain email address instead of your ISP email address. This will be the one that appears as your from address and your reply-to. If you have more than one account set up, your from email address will be the email address listed under the default account.

What I need: To set your forward up, all I need is your forwarding email address. If you'd like to set up more than one forward, then for each forwarding email, I'll need:

  • Your forwarding email address, in other words, where you want the email to go.
  • The email address @yourdomain.com you want to use.
  • For example, you want to use nora@jones.com and you want it to forward to norajones@earthlink.net, then you tell me nora and norajones@earthlink.net.

2. You want to download your email from Outlook or another email client.

How it works: You'll have to set up a new account in your email client (such as Outlook). To set up an account in Outlook, click Tools, Email Accounts, Add a New Email Account, Next, POP3, Next, Your Name, Your Email Address, Your Incoming Mail Server*, Your Outgoing Mail Server*, Your User ID*, Your Password*, Next, Finish. (* I will furnish these values.)

What I need: Nothing, just that you want to do it this way. If you need to set up more than one email address, then I need to know the email address @yourdomain.com you want to use.
